Typomagical is a spell-building-panic-typing-bullet-heaven-roguelike, set in a pixel art fantasy world. You play as a bear cub who’s an apprentice mage, trying to survive hoards of quirky enemies until dawn; or 15 minutes in real time. The cub’s powers are its words – you combine words to cast dynamic spells on the fly, by typing. Words are picked up during the run, and with more than 30,000 possible combinations, no build is ever the same. You might struggle to survive when you’re starting out, but spells and upgrades can be unlocked with coins, which you’ll keep even after defeat. If you become a master mage, you can climb the leaderboards against other players! We hope you have fun breaking the game :) Key features Survive hoards of quirky enemies for 15 minutes Combine and type words to cast dynamic spells on the fly Experiment with builds: over 30,000 possible word combinations Purchase spells and upgrades with coins earned Compete on the leaderboards Roadmap Planned updates include: Balance patches according to player feedback New enemies A speed-focused gamemode New leaderboard categories Expose player stats on UI; run history, average WPM, win/loss rate, e.t.c.
