After receiving a new job, Joe Malcom moves into a new apartment. One night, the husband of his neighbor commits suicide, to which she gifts a row of books to Joe, which she claims have no meaning to her anymore. Since then, he starts having headaches, making him go early to bed, every single night shortly after returning home from work... But his sleep isn't lasting long when even more strange things start to happen in his apartment. He tries to find about what is going on in the following nights and perhaps the books will offer him an answer.
