People of Skies is a two-dimensional action game where shooting is not just about combat, but also about survival and memory. It tells the story of pilots — people torn from the ground and thrown into the sky, which became their only home. The project was born from a desire to tell a wartime story without pathos, but with emotion. The player takes on the role of a Polish or Soviet pilot who faces endless waves of enemy aircraft alone. It is not only a struggle to survive, but also to find meaning in a world where the sky marks the border between life and death. Gameplay Classic arcade-style gameplay – fast controls, dynamic air battles, and waves of enemies. Minimalistic, hand-drawn 2D graphics inspired by old wartime films. Two aircraft to choose from – Polish and Soviet fighters, each with different characteristics. Scoring and survival system – three lives, increasing difficulty, and personal challenge. Music and sound design that build atmosphere and emotion. The game does not aim for realism. Theme People of Skies presents the sky as a space of emotion – fear, courage, and longing. There are no dialogues or complex storytelling elements. Only the sound of the engine, the whistle of bullets, and the silence after an explosion. Features Simple, atmospheric arcade shooter gameplay Hand-crafted backgrounds and aircraft designs Short, intense sessions with score-based replayability Music style combining ambient tones and piano themes Story told through imagery and atmosphere rather than words From the Creator People of Skies is a new project created instead of the unfinished and abandoned People of Mine .
