Naomi’s End is a short atmospheric sci-fi visual novel told through text and ink-wash images. Naomi is a young Japanese postgraduate student in New Zealand. After an evening of surfing, she wakes up in an impossible world that should not exist. Naomi tries to understand what happened and whether she can return to her normal life. This is a minimal story-focused experience with no combat, no puzzles, and no branching paths. The game is designed to be read slowly, like a short illustrated sci-fi story. Features: A short, complete sci-fi story Text-based visual novel presentation Atmospheric ink-wash illustrations Minimal controls: move forward or back through the story A quiet, melancholic mood Themes of memory, identity, time, and uncertain reality Naomi’s End is the second title in the emagnetic Filmstrip Stories series. More stories are on the way.
